Once seen never forgotten The Generation I have lived in have always been used to giving to Blue Peter Appeals, in the form of bottle tops, Stamps, or even Silver paper etc etc to Obtain Money for Stricken Countries Live Aid was the next thing for our combined Generations to support, and Music became a way of fundraising, well for some, others still get drunk and throw up .... Another question..... Glastonbury T in the park Woodstock Are all ANNUAL,3 music Festival off the top of my head, Very well attended and very well Organised events, and get in substantial amounts of money WHY NO LIVE AID THERE??? I have tried MP Hilary Benn, but I fear this will fall on the Red Tape (Just for a change) Letter sent last year - with a none response |
| A Suggestion : Sir Bob Geldof, - 'I don't like Mondays' ... should be extended to Tuesdays wednesdays Thursdays etc etc to the Eastern Sri Lankans Midge Ure, - Allie of Sir Bob, and one who actually seemed to give a stuff when singing on this past years 'Do They Know its Christmas' Effort - I could have put more effort into it myself and I'm a shocking singer !! Sir Richard Branson - Owner of very nice Airline and an Island called Necker, Nice Parrot I saw there he had rescued, please say hello to Benu the great Boatman you employed too ;=) Gentlemen, you 3 can achieve an incredible amount, with little effort, Sir Richard, you were prevented from doing your good deed to the country when you were rather dodgily stopped from doing the national lottery some years ago. I would suggest the New Wembley Opening be done in the form of a Live Aid Annual Event.... 1/ keep the spirit of music alive... as we all remember it, the charts are nearly gone ! 2/ Sir Richard, Virgin Atlantic could fly Bands to New York, to mirror this event, and we can remember Sept 11th Victims too 3/ Midge Ure, Bob Geldof (Hero's) you have the Business Plan and contacts to put it together, Me and my mate John could do a cameo Kareoki Version of 'summer of 69' if you were short .. and we had drunk excessive amounts of beer - although singing is not one of our skills we must confess If you were able to Assist on our other project I am helping to Run............. please note...... My wife and friend Emma are talking of shaving heads today, and maybe jumping out of perfectly servicable Aircraft to Raise Money Several friends from the RAF wanting to get Involved, Sri Lankan Businessmen, very well connected, are helping. I had a deaf International Expert in Sri Lanka from the South of England, with me in Sri Lanka who is helping with that side of the Project.
