| Military presense was very clear to see in this Sr Lanka centrally positioned away from the East Coast by some 200km Town. The reasonably sized town of Kandy, where dozens and dozens of street people beg and sleep You cannot move anywhere in town without someone trying to reach for yor last cigarette or last 100 Rupee's, you cannot even go for a meal without someone joining you, in the true definition, Sri Lanka is a 3rd World Country, but shouldn't be with its blend between the Carabbian, and Thailand/ Phillipines thrown in for good measure. Natural Mineral Water from Kandy was available, Bananas, pineapple, coconut, Rice, tea, this Island didn't need Food and Water it needed a LOT more than that |

| As far as I could tell the Tamil Situation went something like this in no Particular order ! 1/ The Tamil leader was not actually dead, and was accusing Sri Lankan Gov of Spending Money from Aid for Arms 2/ This was Counter Claimed by the Government in the Direction of the Tamils 3/ The Tamil Tigers had recruited 40 Child Soldiers post Tsunami 4/ Aid workers in the Region we were in had been attacked by Tamil Tigers Sympathisers 5/ the tamil tigers walked out of a recent Tsunami Aid meeting in Protest at something else 3 years ago they had blown up 14 aircraft, and killed many people in suicide Bombs so the situation has to be watched sensibly |
